Electra Private Equity Plc announces that on 21 June 2007 the Company purchased for cancellation 160,000 of its own ordinary shares of 25p each at a price of �17.00 per share representing 0.43% of the issued share capital.

Following this transaction the Company now has 37,342,687 ordinary shares in issue.
