What is Electra’s view of the private equity market for 2013?
Electra, in conjunction with its manager Electra Partners, believes that the private equity market remains challenging in the near term.However, the next 12 to 18 months are expected to present increased investment opportunities as banks increase the pace of downsizing their balance sheets. Combined with a funding shortfall created by businesses unable to fully refinance their debt, we believe these situations will create increased investment opportunities which Electra, with Ł400 million of firepower* and a flexible investment mandate, is well positioned to take advantage of.
