Electra Private Equity PLC ("Electra") is an investment trust quoted on the London Stock Exchange. Electra has specialised in private equity for over 25 years achieving investment returns substantially in excess of the FTSE All-Share Index.
As at 31 March 2018 Electra had net assets of £425 million and a net asset value per share of 1,109p.
On 24 March 2017 the Board announced a Special dividend of £1.0 billion (2,612p per share), which was paid on 5 May 2017, to shareholders on the register of members at close of business on 7 April 2017.
On 25 May 2017 the Board announced a Second Special dividend of £350 million (914p per share), which was paid on 14 July 2017, to shareholders on the register of members at close of business on 9 June 2017.
On 23 October 2017 the Board announced a Third Special dividend of £350 million (914p per share), which will be paid on 1 December 2017, to shareholders on the register of members at close of business on 3 November 2017.
Pending the outcome of the strategic review the Board announces payment of a Special Dividend of £10 million (25p per share), payable on 28 June 2018 to shareholders on the register on 8 June 2018.
Electra's objective is to achieve a return on equity of 10-15% per year over the long-term by investing in a portfolio of private equity assets.
Electra has a policy to maintain total gearing below 40% of its total assets.
