Electra Private Equity PLC ("Electra") is an investment trust quoted on the London Stock Exchange. Electra has specialised in private equity for over 25 years achieving investment returns substantially in excess of the FTSE All-Share Index.
As at 30 September 2016 Electra had net assets of £2.1 billion and a diluted net asset value per share of 5,149p.
On 24 March 2017 the Board announced a special dividend of £1.0 billion payable on 5 May 2017 to shareholders on the register of members at close of business on 7 April 2017.
Over the 10 years to 30 September 2016 Electra invested £2.1 billion.
Electra's objective is to achieve a return on equity of 10-15% per year over the long-term by investing in a portfolio of private equity assets.
Electra has a policy to maintain total gearing below 40% of its total assets.
